at the stove
FOR THE BUSINESSES - AT THE STOVE

Instead of computers and desks… pots and stoves: the managers come to the kitchen!

Unexpected cooks in a suit and tie leave the desk to enter, for the first time, an exclusive kitchen, that of la Scuola de La Cucina Italiana, to prepare a fillet in a crust or a quiche Lorraine with the aim to develop creativity, teamwork and co-operation: useful skills in the kitchen but most of all at work.
Real business meetings that take place in a kitchen or a dining room reserved to a single group, making use of ladles and whisks, instead of taking place in cold offices and using traditional tools such as computers and PowerPoint presentations!

Team building:
- Cooking competition formula
An unusual company dinner, with the people attending turning into main characters who cook and challenge each other to a ... fork-duel in our kitchens.
To follow, the gala dinner prepared by our chefs. A time for fun and socializing but also a time for the company to compare and verify the capability to work as a team.
The proposal for the cooking competition is as follows:

Hostess for the reception;
Appetizer with cocktails and finger food;
Setting up and management of group competition (every group must invent, prepare and decorate a dish, then give the recipe a title);
Aprons and chefs' hats for all the participants;
Jury of “La Scuola de La Cucina Italiana”;
Purchase of raw materials;
Service staff: chefs, cook assistants (also English-speaking);
Floral arrangements;
Menu and dinner prepared by chefs of the school;
Parchment, customized with the company's logo, with the menu and list of served courses both in Italian and English;
Water, wine and coffee;
Gift.

The competition can have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 60 participants.

- Cooking training formula
Having outlined the event's objectives to the participants, they will fix a menu to be prepared, and the raw materials to be purchased, based on a given budget*; lastly, they will have to cook the dinner for the whole group themselves, from start to finish: a good deal of spirit of co-operation and co-ordination between individuals is an essential element for a successful event.
A chance to analyse the way the team is run, to assess its strengths and weaknesses, and to develop a programme of changes in order to achieve goals. Furthermore it is interesting to observe the behaviour of managers who, discarded their suit and tie and worn an apron and chefs' hat, move skilfully between the stoves!
We are available to plan events of this kind.

* The purchase of raw materials and the definition of the menu may, upon request, be made by our staff.

Cooking course and lunch, or dinner
If you don't like the team building formula we can plan together a cooking course, made to measure, specifically for your group. Our staff is able to give lessons in English.
For example:
Italian regional cooking course (Corso di cucina regionale italiana)
Pizzas, focaccias and savoury pies (Corso di pizze, focacce e torte salate)
Table etiquette (Corso di bon ton)
First courses (Corso di primi piatti)
Biscuits (Corso di biscotti)
Wine tasting (Degustazione vini)
Cheese tasting (Degustazione formaggi)
Rum and chocolate tasting (Degustazione Rum e cioccolato)

At the end of the chosen cooking class you can either taste the recipes explained during the lesson or continue with:
Lunch or dinner
Rental of the Veranda;
Three-course menu prepared by the school's chefs for a maximum of 60 people (a selection of choices is available);
Service staff;
Floral arrangements;
Parchment, customized with the company's logo and the menu;
Water, wine and coffee included.
A hostess will welcome the participants and, if necessary, hand out any gifts at the end of the event.
