Who we are

The Scuola de La Cucina Italiana, founded in 1987 and having in the background and in its DNA all the experience and prestige of the magazine, has developed over the years a rich and extremely diversified personality.

The Milan office, in Piazza Aspromonte 15, a witness to this development, is today an important reference point for anyone, individual or business, who wants to find in a single context courses for amateurs or aspiring gourmets, conferences and monothematic in-depth open days, and a unique and renowned location for organizing events and demonstrations. Common denominator: the passion for quality cooking and the willingness to actively contribute to the promotion of a better and more careful knowledge of the enogastronomic culture of our country.

Since 2000, the School is present in Switzerland with the Lugano office located at the Federazione Albergatori e Ristoratori ticinesi (Federation of Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Ticino).

Our offer to companies

In recent years, the demand from food and non-food companies for expert advice has registered a considerable growth both in quantity and in quality. Therefore, the School has created a working group in order to improve the offer and single out the type of assistance mostly needed.

Particular care is given to every requirement: the standard offer is only used as a guideline, the work of fine tuning and definition of the final project allows us to achieve new and creative results in line with the expectations of each individual company.

In other words we offer expertise, care, flexibility, creativity and rapid execution.

Our target

During each school year almost 3500 students attend our School.

The public, consisting for 70% of non-professionals and for 30% of professionals, belongs to a heterogeneous age group.

60% of the public is aged between 30 and 45 years, 15% is aged under 30 and 10% is aged between 45 and 60 years.

They are conscious consumers, often involved first-hand in the family’s food shopping and, given the high cost of the courses, are located in an upper-middle income bracket.

The majority of our students comes from Lombardy (about 60%), but 20% comes from foreign countries (mainly Japan, Korea, Brazil). The remaining 20% instead comes from other parts of Italy.
